Key Responsibilities & Requirements

Responsibilities

Perform expert-level HVAC installation, diagnostic repairs, and precision maintenance.
Lead complex system troubleshooting for residential and light-commercial specialized equipment.
Maintain exact technical documentation for federal EPA compliance and state HIC standards.
Mentor apprentice technicians and ensure quality control across job sites in Northeastern PA.
Provide true advocacy for clients with honest, transparent repair-versus-replacement advice.

Requirements

Valid EPA Section 608 Universal Certification and R-410A Safety Certification.
Minimum of 5 years field experience in advanced HVAC troubleshooting and install.
Deep understanding of electrical systems, refrigerant cycles, and venting safety codes.

Reliable transportation and ability to respond to 24/7 emergency calls as scheduled.

Job Qualifications & Skills

Core Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive diagnostic tests on residential and commercial HVAC systems to identify malfunctions.
Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications for complex system installations.
Maintain detailed service records and communicate clearly with clients regarding repair options and preventative measures.
Collaborate with the lead technician to ensure all safety protocols and compliance standards are met.

Professional Requirements

Minimum of 2-4 years experience in HVAC service or equivalent vocational training.
EPA Section 608 Universal Certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days).
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for mobile service dispatches.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
